Meet Our Birmingham Pet Care Specialist Team

My experience with Red Dog Sitting started as a client looking for care for my pets. In 2020 I had the opportunity to join the Red Dog team and have fallen in love with caring for animals. My fondness for animals has been strong since my childhood. I was very fortunate to have grown up around many types of animals. I have learned the meaningful impact that they have on a family. Since my childhood, I have had a passion for learning and understanding all different types of animals. I understand the importance of trusting someone to care for your pet. In many ways, pets have become a significant part of the family. I enjoy helping the animals feel safe and cared for while their owners are away. Either for a few hours away at a job, errands, or days for travel. Seeing their faces and often wagging tails every day puts a smile on my face! I have quickly learned that many of the pets grasp that I am solely there for them. I am then able to share a special bond during the visits. One of the many reasons I enjoy pet-sitting is the opportunity to see each animal's personality, learning their funny quirks, along with sharing photos and stories with the families. They bring so much joy and happiness to my life!

I grew up loving animals and watching Animal Planet every weekend just to learn as much as I could about them! My mom really fueled my passion for animals, especially cats, when we started caring for a colony of stray cats that lived outside her job when I was just an elementary school student. There have been many cats to come and go since then and we have successfully TNRed everyone and gotten the number of cats at her office down to 7 and that doesn’t include the three cats we have at home, one of which we took in as a stray kitten that we only planned on fostering… oops! The most animals we had at my house at one time was one dog, three cats, two leopard geckos, one crested gecko, and a grey rat snake! As I’ve gotten older, my passion for animals of all kinds has grown more and more and in 2021 I got the opportunity to work at an exotic vet and work with so many amazing animals I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to work with otherwise, but I loved being more one on one with people’s pets and telling clients about what their pet did while staying at the vet, but with so many animals coming and going it was hard to do. So that’s when I found RedDog and I’m so lucky that I now get to spend one on one time with people’s pets and create bonds with them and even their families! I love sharing funny stories about pets with their owners and showing them that their pet is well loved and cared for even while they’re away, creating a trust like that is really special to me!
